India Nuclear Energy 2011 Provided an appropriate platform for Nuclear Fraternity to meet and discuss the Way Ahead : Post Fukushima.

India's only dedicated event on the Nuclear Energy Industry, 'India Nuclear Energy 2011' – 3rd edition was organized by UBM India and co-partnered by Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), the nodal Government body in the Indian Nuclear Energy sector and supported by Indian Nuclear Society (INS) concluded on a high note.

Along with the exhibition, 3 international summits were organized by UBM, DAE, ANS and UBI France. The exhibition and the concurrent summits were an excellent global networking opportunity for the exhibitors, visitors and delegates. It gave an opportunity for all companies showcase their nuclear expertise and know-how and identify business opportunities in the Indian market.

Dr Srikumar Banerjee—Chairman, Atomic Energy Commission delivered the keynote address for India Nuclear Energy summit on 29 September 2011. He mentioned that in spite of protest on safety concerns due to the Fukushima , India 's planned nuclear capacity addition will remain unchanged. There could be delay due to the protest but it is not a significant one.

Dr R K Sinha – Director, Bhabha Atomic Research Center (BARC), Chief Guest at INDO-U.S. Nuclear Energy Safety Summit which was organized by American Nuclear Society on 30th September 2011 with a theme of Working Together for a Safer, Cleaner, Affordable Energy Future, gave his presentation on advanced heavy water reactor.

After visiting the exhibition and meeting exhibitors, Dr Srikumar Banerjee and Dr R K Sinha mentioned that it was an excellent platform for the Nuclear Fraternity to meet, learn and discuss the future for Nuclear Energy with particular emphasis on enhancing level of safety which is expected for large scale deployment of nuclear power.

The Indo-French Technology Meet 2011 was organized on 1st October 2011 by Ubifrance and the French Trade Commission in India in collaboration with G.I.I.N., in Mumbai which brought together leading French and Indian companies to meet and interact and chalk out strategies for business development. The Indo-French Technology Meet offered a unique platform to bring the industry together and share latest innovations and technical expertise in the growing nuclear power sector.

Exhibition saw growth of 50% in terms of participation with more than 120 Exhibitors showcasing their products and services, as compared to last year. The event saw participation from leading companies like DAE, Alstom, L&T, GMR, Areva, GE, Westinghouse, HCC, JSL, REC, Power Grid Corporation of India, Nuvia India, Nuscale Power, Schiess, American Nuclear Society, UBI France, Rosatom, Infotech, Lisega, United to name a few. The event had highlighted the participation from various countries like USA, France, Russia and individual companies from UK, Germany & Canada.

The event witnessed the presence of French Ambassador, Jean-Raphael PEYTREGNET-Consul General of France in Mumbai, US Ambassador Mr Peter Burleigh, Mr Geoffrey Pyatt- Principal Deputy Secretary, US Department of State, US Consul General in Mumbai and many more dignitaries.

3720 Industry professionals from the Nuclear Energy space visited the event over three days and 700 Delegates attended the conference over the three days.
