He started his professional career abroad and has worked in 5 countries over the past 5 years: Tunisia, Switzerland, Canada, France and Brazil.
His last position as Business Development and Marketing Coordinator at AREVA Brazil involved the promotion of AREVA complete portfolio with a special focus on the promotion of French reactors (EPR and ATMEA1) in South America. His main focus today includes providing market expertise to GIIN’s members, contributing to accelerating business opportunities between French and International companies from manufacturing to decommissioning of NPP, and helping international actors to find their French partners for their projects and future development.

James Israel is Vice President, Marketing, Asia, for Cameco Inc. and is responsible for the marketing activities of the Cameco group of companies for the Asian region.
Mr. Israel has over 25 years of nuclear industry experience. He joined Cameco in 2007. Prior to joining Cameco, he worked for Itochu Corporation, Exelon Generation, General Atomics, USEC, and the U.S. Department of Energy.
Mr. Israel earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the Frostburg State University with degree specialization in Finance.

LEELA SURAMPUDI is the Program Manager for all the software projects in I&ENR BUs at Cyient.
Leela did her Masters in Computer Applications from Osmania university & PGDPM from University of Hyderabad. She is a certified SAFe Advance Scrum Master 4.0 from Scaled Agile, Inc. She has Co-authored and presented a technical research paper on “The Development of a Simulation Algorithm Library for the AP1000® plant Protection and Monitoring System” in the “International Conference on Power Plant Simulation Conference”, 2012 organized by “The Society for Modeling and Simulation International (SCS)” at San Diego, USA in February 2012.

Mr. Oussama Ashy has over 30 years’ experience in the development of high fidelity, full scope Nuclear power plant simulators. These simulators are used for training of control room operators as well as engineering applications such as system design, human factors and control system verification.
Mr. Ashy has worked on all aspects of simulator development from engineering, product development and management of major simulator projects globally. Mr. Ashy has held positions starting as a Mechanical Engineer with complex simulation model development, to Vice President of Engineering leading multiple application and R&D activities. Mr. Ashy has managed over 30 Nuclear and Fossil Power Plant Full Scope Simulator Projects in the US, Europe and Asia. Mr. Ashy has been presenting the emerging Simulation and Simulator technologies in the conferences being held globally.

Philippe Montarnal has a Master degrees and a PhD. in applied mathematics. He has 15 year’s
experience, working at French Atomic Energy Commission (CEA), in mathematical studies and
numerical simulations in different fields of Nuclear Energy (Thermal-Hydraulic, Radionuclides
migration, Reprocessing of spent fuel).
In 2013, Ph. Montarnal joined the CEA International
Division as Area Manager for India. Since beginning of 2016, Ph. Montarnal is the Nuclear
Counsellor at the French Embassy in India.
Homi Bhabha Chair , Member Atomic Energy Commission
Padam Shri, Dr. Grover occupies Homi Bhabha Chair instituted by the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) and is a member of the Atomic Energy Commission. He studied mechanical engineering at Delhi College of Engineering, nuclear engineering at BARC Training School and received a PhD from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.
He worked in various capacities in the DAE and key contributions made by him include thermal hydraulic analysis of the fuel and the core of the research reactor Dhruva, process design of primary systems and equipments for a compact reactor, developing a scenario about the growth of electricity requirements in India for the first five decades of this century, conceptualizing and setting up of Homi Bhabha National Institute (HBNI) as a university level institute, and participation in negotiations with other countries and international agencies leading to opening up of international civil nuclear trade. He was the sous-Sherpa of the Government of India for the nuclear security summit process. He has been leading the Indian delegation to the ITER Council since its inception.
He was conferred with a Padma Shri by the President of India in 2014. He is a fellow of the Indian National Academy of Engineering and also of the World Academy of Art and Science.

Raphaël Hernandez has an experience of more than 30 years in the energy sector,
gathered trough a wide range of positions within EDF.
He is currently acting as executive advisor for Industrial Policy at the headquarters of
EDF New Nuclear Projects & Engineering Division. He previously served as task force
leader to foster the development of the two French major clusters dealing with nuclear
energy; during this period he also served as president of the International Nuclear
Academy created by the same clusters.
During his career Raphaël has spent more than 15 years in international business
development, dealing with a number of successful acquisitions of power companies or
starting IPP green field projects.
He was posted as EDF Director in India from 2007 to 2012, in charge of EDF group
During a previous position, Raphaël worked in Lyon from 2003 to 2007 as Branch
Manager of EDF Procurement Division, he also taught project management as visiting
professor at SUPELEC (a French engineering Grande Ecole).
Raphaël holds a post graduate degree in nuclear engineering from the National Institute
for Nuclear Science and Technology of France and a Master in Physics from Toulouse

The key areas of his expertise include Technology Transfer with Front-end Engineering, Project & Procurement Management with Global Sourcing, QA Management, HR Management, Consultancy and International Relations & Co-operation.
On superannuation from Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd. as Director (HR) and Outstanding Scientist, Mr. S.K.Ghosh had initially worked as Advisor to CEO (Nuclear Business), Tata Consulting Engineers, Mumbai. Presently, Mr. Ghosh is working as Advisor to MD & CEO (Nuclear Business), Walchandnagar Industries Ltd.

Shah Nawaz Ahmad is currently Senior Adviser, India Middle East and South-East Asia, World Nuclear Association (WNA), London.
He is a graduate in Electrical Engineering and has post-graduate qualifications in Nuclear Engineering as well as in Systems Management.
Ahmad has over 50 years' hand-on experience in the nuclear power sector. He has worked, at national & international levels, in the areas of Policy & Planning, Management, Safety, Design, EPC contracting & Construction, Commissioning, Operations & Maintenance, Supply Chain, Public Awareness, Training, Business Development and International Co-operation.
Ahmad has held senior positions with the Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd (NPCIL), Electronics Corporation of India Ltd (ECIL), & World Association of Nuclear Operators, (WANO) Tokyo. He has also worked for the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Atomic Energy of Canada Ltd (AECL) & the Indian Atomic Industrial Forum (IAIF). Additionally, Mr. Ahmad has provided Consultancy to several National & International Consultants & Infrastructure Businesses.
Senior Vice President – Development EDF - New Nuclear Projects & Engineering
Vakisasai joined the EDF Group in 1999. He started as an R&D engineer, focusing on schedule optimisation and economic risk management for EDF's French generation mix in the context of energy market deregulation in France.
In 2008, Vakis joined EDF Group CFO's team to support the company's effort to grow its international business: he worked notably on major acquisitions, including that of British Energy in the UK and 50% of Constellation's nuclear business in the US.
He is currently one of the leading contributors to EDF's effort to secure funding for the 3,200 MW Hinkley Point C nuclear new build project in the UK, including notably the development of the cooperation with China on that regard.
Since September 2015, Vakisasai leads the international new nuclear development activities for the EDF Group.
Vakisasai graduated from the Engineering School of Aeronautics and Space, Toulouse, France and has an MBA from INSEAD, Fontainebleau, France.

He is currently the Praj Chair Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at IIT Bombay.
Prof. Iyer received his B.Sc (Engg) Mech. from Delhi University in 1976. He was then trained in BARC Training School in 1977 and served at IGCAR from 1977-81.
Subsequently he joined Purdue University and completed his M.S. and Ph.D. in 1985 and continued as a postdoctoral fellow before joining IIT Bombay as Assistant Professor in 1986.
He also served as Visiting Professor in Purdue University in the year 2005-06
His principal research area is nuclear reactor thermal hydraulics and safety.
He has executed several research projects for BARC, AERB, NPCIL, BRNS, NPCIL, BHEL, L&T, etc. He is also a Member of Safety Review Committee of AHWR and a member of Advisory Committee on Plant Safety Review of PHWR and PFBR (ACPSR-PHWR/PFBR).
He is currently the President of the American Nuclear Society (India Section).

He has several awards, the recent ones being the Best Faculty Award given by the Department of Mechanical Engineering in 2009, the Teaching Excellence Award given by IIT Bombay in 2012 and INS Outstanding Service Award for his contributions in the area of Nuclear Reactor Technology and Safety in 2014.

Dr Suresh Gangotra is a gold medalist in metallurgical engineering from MSU Baroda.
His doctoral work is on proliferation resistance analysis of nuclear fuel fabrication facility, including original measures for safeguards.
He is currently head of Safety and Security Studies Division at Department of Atomic Energy.
He has over 30 years of experience in various fields of nuclear programme including safeguards, nuclear fuel fabrication,
design of nuclear fuel fabrication facilities, irradiated material examination, Non Destructive Testing of plutonium based fuels and
irradiated fuels and reactor components.
Raja Ramanna Fellow
Shri Malhotra is currently Raja Ramanna Fellow in Department of Atomic Energy and Secretary, Atomic Energy Education Society, earlier he superannuated from Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) as Outstanding Scientist and Head, Public Awareness Division.
Since 1999, as Head, Public Awareness Division of Department of Atomic
Energy, he was responsible for planning, overseeing and assessing the entire outreach
programme of the Department of Atomic Energy.
His untiring efforts in creating mass
awareness about atomic energy in general and uranium mining and processing in
particular have been well recognized.
He produced a number of documentaries on DAE
and its activities. He was also responsible for the conceptualization, design and
production of the publications of the DAE.
He has served as an expert with International
Atomic Energy Agency for assessing and advising them on their Public Information
Programme. He is a widely traveled person and has delivered about 500 invited lectures
on various scientific topics at various forums including universities, colleges, schools etc.
He is very fond of interacting with the students and youth.
As Secretary, AEES he is responsible for the administration of 30 Schools and
Junior Colleges coming under the aegis of AEES. He is also involved in planning the
Societal Outreach activities of DAE.
Jean-Michel Boniface is 57 and holds an engineering degree in Mechanics and Aeronautics. He spent 15 years by Zodiac, the European leading company for airborne equipment, where he in was in charge of numerous civil and military projects. After this first period, Jean-Michel joined the so exciting world of the start-up companies for managing the industrialization and the ramp-up process of innovative products in the field of health care and security. In 2005 he was hired by Areva to lead the back end business line responsible for the design of the casks devoted to the transport and the interim storage of the used fuel and vitrified residues between France and Germany. Safety and Security were his 2 main daily concerns. After that, he led the European project for the development of a Near Surface Repository for Low and Intermediate Level Radioactive waste in Lithuania carried out in cooperation with Andra, where nowadays he develops the waste management business on the international stage.
